MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 20 November 2012
IN KENNEDY HALL, DUNURE, AT 7.30PM



SEDERUNT: Mr Philip Findlay(Chair); Mr Roy Storie (Treasurer)Mrs Jean McGinn, (Secretary);
      Mr A Guthrie;  Mrs Dorothy Ward.

IN ATTENDANCE: Councillor Sandra Goldie, Councillor William Grant;
       Link Officer Mrs Thea Petticrew;  Sgt Alan McDowall
     
 APOLOGIES:  Mr Adam Montgomerie.


ADOPTION OF MINUTES:  Proposed Mr A Guthrie, Seconded Mrs Dorothy Ward.


3.  POLICE REPORT:  Only one incident had been reported during the previous month which was a disturbance.  At the moment there will be no change in the structure of our local constabulary but this may be altered in due course.
 

4. COUNCILLORS’ REPORT:  Councillor Goldie confirms that the main priorities of the Council at the moment is the school estate and both she and Councillor Grant advises that there are improvements urgently needed to many of the schools.  Although Councillor Grant confirms that Fisherton Primary is in relatively good state of repair.
      Councillor Grant commented on the Government’s proposed welfare reform which might   cause problems for tenants and other who are reliant on benefits.



5. LINK OFFICER’S REPORT:  Mrs Petticrew advised us that this will be the last meeting as our Link Officer owing to pressure of work.  We thanked her for all her help over the past few years, and appreciate that she will still be willing to still help us with any queries we may have or advice needed.


6.   MATTERS ARISING:
Carrick Place road repairs have still not been carried out.
Handrail at shop – agreed that a fund raising event be carried out in New Year.


7. FINANCIAL REPORT: at 20 November 2012
Balance at 2 November £616.92
             Community Centre Account at 15 June £845.42


8.  OPEN FORUM:  No member of the public was present.

PLANNING:  No planning applications


10. ANY OTHER BUSINESS:
A donation of £50 was given to Youth Club for fireworks.
Asked about proposed upgrade of public toilets.
Mr Findlay is concerned that he is unable to park on double yellow lines in Ayr even on a Sunday in order that he carries out work.




The meeting closed at 9.00pm  and the next meeting will be held on
Tuesday 15 January 2013  at 7.30pm.
