MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 19 October 2010 IN KENNEDY HALL, DUNURE, AT 7.30PM

2. Adoption of minutes for meeting of Tuesday 21 September 2010

Proposed by Mr A Guthrie, Seconded Mr Adam Montgomerie.

3. POLICE REPORT

: Only reported incident was the breaking into of a garden shed in the village. There will be some changes in Community Policing starting at the end of this month.

 4 COUNCILLOR’S REPORT

: Councillor Mairi Low confirmed the arrangement for Remembrance Sunday and that the British Legion will be in attendance at 1.00pm. Councillor Low also contacted someone re the poor digital T V reception who subsequently spoke at length to Mr Storie by telephone. We hope that when the eventual switchover takes place the signal will be stronger that at present.

5. LINK OFFICER’S REPORT: Mrs Petticrew will hold on to the two picnic benches she has offered us and see that that they are delivered in the Spring. They may as well be under cover until then. Mrs Petticrew also spoke of forthcoming council cuts and her department are already looking at ways to cut costs.


6.. MATTERS ARISING:

Lighthouse -

Mrs McGinn received a copy of the constitution and Annual Audit from mr Murphy, also with an explanatory letter of the up to date situation here. Mr Storie has agreed to write to Mr Murphy to see if we can get this project moved forward.
Community Hall Account - Mrs

McCreath is still trying to raise the remainder of the funding for the hall roof, having been turned down by the Postcode Lottery.

Mr Kruse still has not been able to sort out the access to this with Mr MacLeod.
Home Insulation Project:

Letters have been circulated with details of this and we can expect to have someone calling to talk to all residents in the near future.
Hole In the road at school -

no repair as yet.
Road signs and road spoil

have been removed as requested.

8. FINANCIAL REPORT: The balance at 19 October amounts to £528.02 there having been no transactions in the last month.

Sec

retary had a visit from Julia Whitaker (Ailsa Horizons) who discussed various aspects of funding and how she may be able to assist in any projects the village may be considering.
Balig Farm owner lost his appeal to the Scottish Government against South Ayrshire Council ’s decision to refuse his application for a caravan park.

Fisherton

School has plans to produce a Community Newsletter and hopes to have one circulated to all homes by end of November.
