MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 15 March 2011 IN KENNEDY HALL, DUNURE, AT 7.30PM

Mr Phil Findlay(Chair); Mr Roy Storie(Treasurer); Mrs Jean McGinn, (Secretary) Mr A Guthrie; Mr Rod Kruse; Mr Adam Montgomerie.
IN ATTENDANCE: P C Angela McMorran.

2. Adoption of minutes for meeting of Tuesday 15 February 2011 Proposed by Mr Rod Kruse; Seconded Mr Andy Guthrie.

3. POLICE REPORT: P C McMorran reported three incidents at Craig Tara which involved the police. There had indeed been two reports of heating oil having been stolen in the village and she asks that everyone be vigilant. Also to be aware that because of high value of scrap metal, this is being stolen from various places. Some of the perpetrators have been wearing high visibility jackets to look as though they are genuine workmen. Anything suspicious should be reported immediately.

4. COUNCILLORS’ REPORT: No Councillor present at this meeting.


5. LINK OFFICER’S REPORT: Mrs Petticrew not present but to contact her if need be.

6.. MATTERS ARISING:


Harbour Anniversary - We were hoping for an update from Mrs Ward but as she was not present at the meeting, we will perhaps hear more next month. On this matter Mr Storie suggests we buy some “clip” frames to help with the displays for the Harbour Exhibition which will take place in the Kennedy Hall.

Fixed Penalty Notices - Mrs Petticrew advised the following requested by Mr Findlay:-

I can report that for the Q3 period October-December 2010 the following Fixed Penalty Notices were issued : 31 x Section 88 Littering. 1 x Section 33a Fly- tipping. And for the Q2 period July-September 2010 the following Fixed Penalty Notices were issued : 14 x Section 88 Littering. 6 x Section 33a Fly-tipping.
Mrs Petticrew also gave a link to South Ayrshire council Web Site which lays out the criteria for special uplifts of waste.

Roads - Mr Kenny Dalrymple will attend our next meeting on 19 April to talk on this subject.

7. FINANCIAL REPORT: The balance at 15 March 2011 amounts to £403.18Community Hall Account £2494.98.

Secretary suggests now might be the time to give the Kennedy Hall & Park Committee a loan to help complete the roof repairs. Mr Storie will look into this.

Mr Storie suggests a donation to help with the Church Newsletter; donation to Youth Club; to the harbour to help with Anniversary Celebrations.

10. ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

Mrs Dorothy Ward is our only new member.

As we do not have a Vice Chair, Mr Rod Kruse was proposed by Mr Findlay and seconded by Mr Guthrie. Mr Kruse is happy to take this position. 

The meeting closed at 9.00pm and the next Meeting will take place on Tuesday 19 April 2011 at 7.30pm.
